May today there be peace within.
May you trust in God that you are exactly
where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given you.
May you be content knowing that you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. Amen.

LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THERESE

Dear Therese Community,

After many months of soul-searching, prayer and discernment, I have decided to leave Therese of Divine Peace. I believe I am being called to be more diverse in my ministry as priest. On the surface, it would seem I should be able to incorporate other ideas into my life; however, some areas of what I need to do necessitate more freedom of my time.

I appreciate the time you have spent with me as I have learned how to be “priest.” I believe my apprenticeship has been fulfilled and I am now ready to be sent forth on my own. You have heard me speak often of being an itinerant preacher as well as my interest in doing “house church.” I feel that the time is right to begin to pursue this aspect of my calling.

I am grateful for my inclusion as a co-pastor of Therese. It has been an invaluable experience and an amazing opportunity to be part of this Therese community. I thank you and I will miss you. Hopefully, we will meet one another again on this journey of faith.

Sincerely,

Marybeth McBryan, RCWP

From Marybeth
Since leaving Therese of Divine Peace, effective with my final liturgy on February 4, I have decided to offer a House Church. It will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2012 with liturgy at 12 noon. We will share soup after Mass as a community. Everyone interested in attending needs to RSVP as my home will only hold a limited number of people comfortably. Please call me at 314-277-3212 or e-mail me at mbmcbpriest@yahoo.com by February 20th.
